Of course now I will be using my own skin line for my ads as they are incredibly lovely and are perfect with my designs. Motown Gold - PAH*FEST

You all should know by now that PAH*FEST Motown begins on Monday with lots of great events. This is a sneak peek at the final freebie for PAH*FEST. So the Diva continues ... from now on each month I will release 20 Diva's in the morning and 20 Diva's in the evening due to popular demand and a hint that some people do get on SL later - sorry :( On to the dress! Frankly Scarlett, I don't give a damn - but I do! For some reason SL did not pick up the sparkling of this dress in the pics and it is amazingly shiny! I hope you can tell from the closeup of the texture that this dress is one dazzling creation. I was too tired to put out for you this evening but it will be out tomorrow so look for it - it is pure dazzling - Frankly!

Alishaba

The Diva of the Month is sold out now and I just created a new dress. This one is named after a very special person because she likes pink ;p - Alishaba - in Arabic it means beautiful sunshine and pretty. I tend to think we all have someone who is an Alishaba in our lives at least I hope so - Beautiful Sunshine :)

JULY DIVA OF THE MONTH - BILLIE HOLIDAY

Every month I will feature a DIVA and a limited edition dress in honor of that Diva. This month it is Billie Holiday. Nicknamed Lady Day[1] by her sometime collaborator Lester Young, Holiday was a seminal influence on jazz, and pop singing. Her vocal style — strongly inspired by instrumentalists — pioneered a new way of manipulating wording and tempo, and also popularized a more personal and intimate approach to singing. Critic John Bush wrote that she "changed the art of American pop vocals forever."[2] She co-wrote only a few songs, but several of them have become jazz standards, notably "God Bless the Child," "Don't Explain," and "Lady Sings the Blues."

Spirals

There are many spiral forms in nature, both on Earth and in space. Spirals occur in physical forms such as DNA and the shell formation of mollusks such as the conch and chambered nautilus. Rita Hayworth Pin Up

Rita Hayworth was one of the ultimate beauties of the screen in the 40's. No one did it better than she did and during WWII there was a certain photo of her in a nude/black lace and satin negligee that all the soldiers kept by their sides. When I began making this dress the lace reminded me of that photo and Rita so here is the Rita Hayworth Pin Up.

Shangri La

Shangri-La is a fictional place described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton. In the book, "Shangri-La" is a mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the western end of the Kunlun Mountains. Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise but particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia—a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. This is a title from a movie about the early days of the 50's and 60's relating to the music industry and one of my favorite songs from the movie was "God Give Me Strength" and if you have not seen the movie its a must - the dress suited the title - Grace of My Heart.

Floradora Girl

Blame Floradora - her name popped up while I was making this dress and I started thinking of the Floradora Girls and this is the result and a freebie for you Floradora with thanks for your inspiration :)

The most popular all Girl groups of the time was the English Girls later nicknamed the "Floradora Girls" who performed the leggy, risqué dances popular during the time in the show entitled "Floradora" which opened in London on November 11, 1899, and later came to America in 1900 from the London Operetta. These leggy dancers became a chorus type dance
group like the Goldwyn Girls, Tiller Girls, Goldiggers, Ziegfeld Girls etc. and a musical stock company of female dancers like the Golddiggers etc. who appeared in many musicals such as Ziegfelds productions.

-- Many of these ladies would later dance as Goldwyn Girls, Ziegfeld Girls and others as well as other musicals and movies in the 1900s-1940s. They were sometimes listed as "Models," "Showgirls" or "Chorus Girls." Most of the Girls would dance in the show, marry one of the Rich Patrons and quit the show which over time produced over 70 Floradora dancers.

The New LEMANIA INDIGO DESIGNS BOUTIQUE

The new Lemania Indigo Designs Boutique will be located in the center of the sim in a deserted market place ala steam punk. The designs for the boutique will be colorful, creative and maybe a little strange but the good thing is all will be priced at 100L. This is the first entry into the Boutique - Carnival. A colorful magic dancing outfit with jewelry, stockings and flexi skirt all in this lovely color - it was such fun to make thats why I decided to create a Boutique style - :)

Holly Golightly: He's all right! Aren't you, cat? Poor cat! Poor slob! Poor slob without a name! The way I see it I haven't got the right to give him one. We don't belong to each other. We just took up one day by the river. I don't want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I'm not sure where that is but I know what it is like. It's like Tiffany's.

Who Loves Ya Baby!

I need to get on my soapbox for a minute and explain something to people who have no conception what being blind means. If you are blind it does not mean you are mentally challenged, it does not mean you are not a normal person with normal feelings. It only means there are SOME things you cannot do but hundreds of things you can do. Even in this day and age there are still barriers that exist for people with disabilities - before you become one of those roadblocks - stop and think. Instead, be a helping hand and help them over that barrier. And for all of you that struggle daily with societies expectations - WHO LOVES YA BABY! - I do!
