WOW

Maeenea -- I can tell you this is one of the MOST eye-catching dresses I have ever made. I started with the texture that I love with gold and green and added 3 layers of chiffon. I wasn't finished and the back has a jeweled portion and bangles and shoes too. OMG they will see you coming and going in this one. Now Maeenea -- we know I am more conservative than you but... wearing this dress that I made for you -- everyone will say wow. So this one is for you!
It's also for BAA -- people have been so generous and I love being able to Paypal the money to BAA so this one is 100% for charity!
JUST SAY OMG when you wear it and everyone else will too - I know I did lol
Find it here:

WEEKLY GROUP GIFT - LA PALOMA

Yes I have showing it here on the website early because I finished it and it is ready for release on Sunday - the day of the concert and I will release it right before Ridha begins to play ;p

"La Paloma" is one of the most popular songs ever written, having been produced and reinterpreted in diverse cultures, settings, arrangements, and recordings over the last 140 years. The song was composed and written by Sebastián Iradier (later Yradier) after he visited Cuba in 1861. The first line of the original song is "Cuando salí de la Habana, válgame Dios!" Iradier may have composed "La Paloma" around 1863, just two years before he died in Spain in obscurity, never to learn how popular his song would become.
The influence of the local Cuban habanera gives the song its characteristic and distinctive rhythm. Very quickly "La Paloma" became popular in Mexico, and soon spread around the world. In many places, including Mexico, Spain, Hawaii, Germany, Romania and Zanzibar, it gained the status of a quasi folk song. Over the years the popularity of "La Paloma" has surged and receded periodically, but never subsided. It may be considered one of the first universal popular hits and has appealed to artists of diverse musical backgrounds.

BENEFIT CONCERT & FASHION SHOW

MUSIC AND FASHION TAKE CENTER STAGE TO BENEFIT VETERANS

It’s part of a Second Life double header as musician Ridha Cooljoke performs Sunday July 27th and a Hollywood Fashion Show takes the runway the following day at 2:00pm PST to raise funds for “Bugles Across America.” “Bugles Across America” is a group of volunteers committed to have a live bugler play taps at every veteran’s funeral in the United States.

“My daughter is a member of this organization and I am the daughter of a veteran, so I feel very honored to be part of this worthwhile cause,” stated Lemania Indigo. Ridha Cooljoke will take the stage at the Celebration Hall Sunday and all donations will be contributed to the cause. The sale of 10 of the dresses featured in the fashion show will give 50% of the profits to the cause and the sale of one limited edition dress will give 100%. Look Elite Models will be featured at the fashion show and all shoes for this event have been supplied by Melanie Zhao.

Born in Tunisa, now living in Milano, Ridha began performing at a very young age playing and singing international tunes including swing, jazz, evergreen, 60's, 70's, 80's and World music. He just finished singing at Christopher Coppola’s PAHfest MOTOWN 08, a concert that was not only seen in Second Life but was featured on Internet2 and on the campus of Madonna University. More about Ridha can be found at: http://www.ridhamusic.blogspot.com/
Lemania Indigo is an artist in her first life and has turned her creativity to designing virtual clothing for the residents in Second Life. Bugles Across America - PRESS RELEASE

Mother and Daughter Team To Honor Veterans in Their Unique Ways
Mother/daughter Lemania Indigo and Alexandria Davis are teaming up to assure every U.S. veteran has a live bugle player playing taps at their funeral.Indigo is using her skills as a clothing designer a virtual world to raise funds.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 26, 2008 – Concord, New Hampshire — The haunting call of taps brings thoughts of the men and women who have valiantly served the United States military and are finally laid to rest. Mother/daughter Lemania Indigo and Alexandria Davis are teaming up to assure every U.S. veteran has a live bugle player playing taps at their funeral. Indigo is using her skills as an established clothing designer in the virtual world “Second Life” to raise funds for this important cause. Her daughter is part of the organization “Bugles Across American” and has donated her time and talents to this crusade. “As a blind person I wanted to serve my country and Bugles Across America is a way to serve my country and honor those veterans who have passed away with a live rendition of taps representing our respect for their service to our country,” said Alexandria Davis. Seeing her daughter’s great devotion to this organization Indigo felt she wanted to do more. That is where the 3D chat realm Second Life comes into play. Using her talents as a clothing designer in the virtual world, Indigo now designs and sells a clothing line that all the proceeds go toward “Bugles Across Amercia.” She has also set up a donation kiosk where people can donate directly without purchasing any of her designs. To date, the money is coming in and Indigo plans to continue to make designs and sell them for “Bugles Across America. “Yes this is a cause for me that I believe in. Not only because I have a wonderful daughter who participates but also because I think it is the least we can do for our veterans,” said Indigo. To find out more about Indigo’s project you can view her blog at: http://lemaniaindigo.blogspot.com Bugles Across America can be found at: www.buglesacrossamerica.org
