The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors.

PURPOSE

To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women,
To help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and
To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.

One night while watching the evening news, a group of veterans and brothers were moved by the difficult stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. They realized then and there that something needed to be done for these brave individuals beyond the brass bands and ticker tape parades.



The resulting objective was to provide tangible support for the severely wounded and help them on the road to healing, both physically and mentally. What had been initially viewed as a small contribution (compared with what the warriors had sacrificed while serving our country) has become WWP's signature program:"WWP backpacks delivered bedside to wounded warriors."


Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization.

Breakfast At Tiffany's - THE DRESS

This is the frist in a series of outfits Audrey Hepbrun wore in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Of course I had to start with THE DRESS. I paid attention to the back detail. To me it looked like the neckline was made specifically for the necklace she wore as it dipped down over the black. The closest I could come with was a tiara I go on slexchange and the Breakfast at Tiffany's necklace by Alyssa Bijoux.
The hair is black, faded - Vivian from ETD. Hope you enjoy the dress as much as I did making it. Look for more from her collection as well as more movie inspired designs.

UNRELEASED - Theda Bara

You would be amazed at where I got this texture and what it really is! It is a irridescent beetle and the minute I saw it I knew it would be a perfect Theda Bara dress - who would have thought it? Me - I am crazy but the result is fantastic along with all the jewelry!

UNRELEASED - The Vamp

A femme fatale character in movies or books. The character is a woman who, while not necessarily attractive, has a certain allure (usually this striking, exotic, overtly sexy glamour), and is usually a heartless, man-eating seductress. The term is short for vampire, another term for a femme fatale.
In drama, the vamp is the sexual counterpoint for the naive, wholesome ingenue character. The sultry lower voice of the mezzo-soprano is usually reserved for the vamp character in musicals or opera.

The ultimate silent screen vamp was Theda Bara. This is a spin off from Theda who is the greatest all-time vamp.

This is another texture that was from a hat from the 1920's and it is full of gold sequins! Appropriate dress for Oscar Night don't you think?
