Motown Gold - PAH*FEST

You all should know by now that PAH*FEST Motown begins on Monday with lots of great events. This is a sneak peek at the final freebie for PAH*FEST. This dress will be available at the venue and also in my shop with a LM and information on some of the great events that will be happening for PAH*FEST. Motown Gold ... Can you imagine the number of songs that came out of Motown and that we all listen to and sing still - it's mind-boggling! See you at PAH*FEST! This is a title from a movie about the early days of the 50's and 60's relating to the music industry and one of my favorite songs from the movie was "God Give Me Strength" and if you have not seen the movie its a must - the dress suited the title - Grace of My Heart.

I have to admit - the flexi skirt is peculiar lol but wow on the sequins! Couldn't have asked for a better in world tranformation of a texture and man, ain't that peculiar? Marvin Gaye sang it better -

Digital Media Festival at Madonna University Features Filmmaking, Concerts and Events
LIVONIA, Mich. – Hollywood comes to Motown again this summer. The second annual Project Accessible Hollywood (PAH-fest) Motown will take place on the campus of Madonna University on July 14-20. The unique, entirely free, digital media festival travels to cities throughout the U.S. and internationally, giving anyone and everyone an opportunity to take part in movie making. Metro-Detroiters from all walks of life will have access to digital equipment and professional coaching, enabling them to create their own short digital films. PAH-fest is the brainchild of Christopher Coppola, nephew of director Francis Ford Coppola and brother to actor Nicholas Cage. Coppola plans to be on campus again this year.
PAHfest will also be invading the virtual world, incorporating the chat realm “Second Life” into the mix. People from around the globe can now experience PAH like never before, interacting in the virtual world “Detroit Life”. In 2006, Loudbaby launched the city of Detroit within the virtual world of “Second Life”, aptly called "Detroit Life : The Motor City inside The Metaverse." Since the debut of Detroit Life last year, Loudbaby has quickly established itself as a world leader in the production of Mixed Reality Events.
An exciting new addition to PAH-fest this year is a high-tech lunchtime concert Wednesday, July 16, from 12-2 p.m. World-famous European musician, Ridha (Cooljoke) Ibrahim, will perform from his studio in Italy and perform in the world of Detroit Life in Second Life. Madonna will be streaming video of his avatar for this 3D virtual concert. Computers in at Madonna’s Livonia campus will host PAH Disco where online-concert-goers can dance as avatars while enjoying a pizza lunch provided by the University.
The fashion world of Second Life will not go unnoticed as Virtual Clothing Designer Lemania Indigo features a series of clothing made just for PAHfest featuring the “Motown Sound.” She is turning the proceeds of this clothing line back to the PAHfest MOTOWN organizers to help offset the cost of the festival. “Creativity has been a huge part of my life and PAHfest allows other people to express their thoughts, ideas, and feelings all over the world giving them a voice. I am very proud to be part of such a wonderful idea and event,” said Indigo.

PAH FEST Motown

PAH-fest MOTOWN is coming to Second Life and you can be part of it! PAHfest is the brainchild of Christopher Coppola, Hollywood director from the famed Coppola film family. (Francis Ford Coppola, Nicolas Cage, Sophia Coppola). PAHfest gives everyday people a chance to tell their stories. Join us in the Second Life SIM of “Detroit Life” as we celebrate a week of stories.

Some Highlights include:

Wednesday July 16th 9am SL-A lunch concert with Ridha Cooljoke. This will be a SL concert that will incorporate RL elements in Italy and Detroit while avatars dance their lunch calories away. If you have never seen this World musician you are in for quite a treat…he will swing you in 4 different languages while he performs live in his Italian studio.

Thursday July 17th 10am-11:30 am Josh White, Jr, will be streamed live in the Detroit SIM. Josh White’s credits are unbelievable and include performing on the world's greatest stages of four continents, including Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Odeon Hammersmith Hall, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, and Madison Square Garden to name a few.

Sunday July 20th 3pm SL- See all the closing night ceremonies, view the stories made throughout the week and share some wonderful moments with us all.

Other highlights include a beautiful line of clothing designed by Lemania Indigo to celebrate the Sounds of Detroit. Proceeds go to help keep PAHfest alive around the world. Special thanks to loudbaby.com for all their help and assistance!
