UNRELEASED - The Vamp

A femme fatale character in movies or books. The character is a woman who, while not necessarily attractive, has a certain allure (usually this striking, exotic, overtly sexy glamour), and is usually a heartless, man-eating seductress. The term is short for vampire, another term for a femme fatale.
In drama, the vamp is the sexual counterpoint for the naive, wholesome ingenue character. The sultry lower voice of the mezzo-soprano is usually reserved for the vamp character in musicals or opera.

The ultimate silent screen vamp was Theda Bara. This is a spin off from Theda who is the greatest all-time vamp.

UNRELEASED - Harlow

One word is enough - Harlow - this is a lovely texture from a 1920's dress and I have accented it with art deco jewels at front and back with earrings in topaz and gold jewels. Totally elegant and so Harlow.

UNRELEASED - Oscar Night

This is another texture that was from a hat from the 1920's and it is full of gold sequins! Appropriate dress for Oscar Night don't you think?

Cuba

When I found this texture it has hand beading and is from around the 50's and all I could think of was how everyone went to Cuba in the 1950's as if it were a resort. So here it is - Cuba :)

UNRELEASED - The Canary

The Canary Murder Case - William Powell who of course is always been a favorite of mine from the classic movies and the Thin Man series who could forget! I saw this dress and the movie popped into my head.

The beautiful Margaret Odell, famous Broadway beauty and ex-Follies girl known as "The Canary", is found murdered in her apartment. She has a number of men in her life, ranging from high society to gangsters, and more than one man visited her apartment on the night she dies. It is Philo Vance's characteristic erudition that leads him to a key clue that allows him to penetrate a very clever alibi and reveal the killer.

This would be something she would wear don't you think? The texture is from a dress from the era of the movie (1927) and so canary! Louise Brooks was the canary :)

Honey Pie

Honey pie you are making me crazy

I'm in love but i'm lazy

So won't you please come home.

Oh honey pie my position is tragic

Come and show me the magic

Of your hollywood song.

You became a legend of the silver screen

And now the thought of meeting you

Makes me weak in the knee.

Oh honey pie you are driving me frantic

Sail across the atlantic

To be where you belong.

Will the wind that blew her boat

Across the sea

Kindly send her sailing back to me.

Honey pie you are making me crazy

I'm in love but i'm lazy

So won't you please come home.

UNRELEASED - Olivia de Havilland

Olivia de Havilland - the ultimate graceful and sweet movie star. This dress reminded me of her when she was in Robin Hood with Errol Flynn. Yes she is still living and yes we all will remember her as Melanie in Gone With The Wind forever.
